Appearance Description:
Lionstar is a large cat with a flaming orange pelt. She stands out, especially among the other Shadowclan cats. Shadowclan cats are meant to blend in, but she is a burning light in the midst of darkness. Her lion-like fur is fairly long. Her frame itself is muscular but graceful. She walks with power, every pawstep showing confidence. She is not a weak-looking she-cat.Personality Description:
Her build is more like that of a tom than a female. She can be mistaken for a male at first glance. This build allows her to be a powerful fighter, which works since she can't hide in the shadows. She is quick, despite her size, and more adept at battling other cats than hunting for prey.
Her eyes are dark and the type that seem to stare into your soul. She has a piercing gaze that she directs at anything and everything. She does not look down or avoid eye contact. Her appearance, like her personality, is bold. Her claws are sharp, but not the most distinct part of her appearance. She has a fairly long, feathery tail. Her teeth are sharp, and she has a strong jaw.
Lionstar, a powerful and bold cat. Most of her life, she aimed to please her father. She tried to be the best clan cat possible and worked hard to earn her title of "warrior." That cat was loyal, completely. Now she is a young leader without the guidance of her father and without anyone she is particularly close to. As a normal warrior, she did not speak unless necessary. She listened to orders and had faith in her superiors. Perhaps that makes her sound like a blind follower, but she did do what she felt was right. She always cared about justice and the Warrior Code...more than the Warrior Code, she cared about what was right. She still cares. She is finally completely independent and in control as leader, which is a completely different position than she was in before...for advice, Starclan are supposed to be here for her. She has no superiors, only the wise voices of Starclan. The silent, silent voices. Lionstar, as leader, tries to be wiser than her years...her barely-over-a-year age. She realizes that such a young cat as leader will displease those who have been trying hard for many more moons and aspiring to be leader. She would not mind a council of older warriors, but she does not want to be manipulated.History:
Lionstar tends to be stoic. She can endure a lot without complaining. Not much gets under her skin and she refuses to become emotional as a result of something another cat does. She is learning to selectively harness the powers of some emotions, for the sake of riling up her clan for battle or similar duties. Warriors can be very emotional and she will have to feel for them as a leader. It is a challenge that she is willing to accept.
Lionstar tries to be honorable. She confronts other cats directly instead of skulking in the shadows as some sort of assassin. Lionstar does not like to fight cats much weaker than herself. She wants other cats to have a fair chance at, well, not dying due to the fearsome might of her clan. Shadowclan have always been the clan to fear. Lionstar wants to make them that clan again, but a clan that will not prey on the weak. She is young, but not stupid. She can understand the way other cats work and she is ready to become a more fierce and respected leader for the sake of not bringing shame to her clan.
Even though she is a very formidable opponent, Lionstar does not enjoy fighting. She enjoys protecting her clan and furthering the interests of her clan, but she does not enjoy causing suffering and pain. She tries to keep her clan out of unnecessary battle, something the other clans seem to crave. Lionstar detests bloodshed but is not a coward. She does not run from a battle and she never cowers in fear of an opponent. She intends to boldly march into battle and end fights as quickly as possible for minimal deaths. She encourages her clanmates to train and become powerful. If they are talented fighters, they can force the other clans to beg for mercy instead of fighting until most cats are terribly wounded or gone to Starclan...
Lionstar, as a friend, is trustworthy and tries to be helpful. She cares deeply, when she does care for a cat. She will always be willing to listen to the cats of her clan and make fair judgments and give words of advice. She may sometimes show signs of being very protective of her clanmates or loved ones, which isn't always appreciated. She does not care if someone tries to insult herself but will not allow cats to insult each other. Lionstar does not allow cats to be picked on in her clan. She she hears of something like that, she can be very strict. Sometimes she does allow cats to resolve their own conflicts, because they could be mature enough to do so, but will step in if things get out of hand. As for romance or a mate, Lionstar has never had a desire for that. Her calling in life is to serve her clan, but not by producing more kittens. To sum it all up, Lionstar is an inexperienced leader who is trying her hardest to lead well and make Shadowclan respected.
Lionstar was born Lionkit, an odd fiery cat who stood out next to the darker colors of her kin.Parents:
She was born with two female siblings. Her father had always wanted a male, but he ended up with all of these females...
However, Lionkit had a masculine air about her. Her father chose her as his favorite, the one he would train to be a great warrior.
Her father, Shadowstorm, ensured that he could be the mentor to his daughter. Shadowstorm focused entirely on Lionpaw's training, forgetting about his other kits. His mate, Petalheart, was just that...his mate. She was the most attractive she-cat and she was willing. Shadowstorm just wanted a kit to train.
Shadowstorm raised Lionpaw, working her until she was beyond exhausted. She didn't mind. Her sisters and mothers weren't very fond of her and sometimes used some creative insults against her... Lionpaw tried to please her father as an apprentice with her enthusiasm and talents. She didn't win every battle, but she tried. There were a few times where she charged against a fox or similar animal and ended up badly wounded...unfortunately, she was not invincible. Her downfall as an apprentice was her tendency to run into battle and try to prove herself. Even at a young age, she gained a great many scars...which were covered by her long fur.
Lionpaw earned her warrior name: Lionstep. Lionstep, because of her intimidating stature and the way she walked powerfully with utmost confidence. Lionstep, the odd fiery cat of the darkest clan. As a warrior, she was a force to be reckoned with. She fought fiercely in the frequent battles with Thunderclan, causing many a strong cat to escape in fear. Lionstep worked to make her father and her clan proud, training harder than ever before as a warrior. The leader at this time, Roughstar, seemed to care a lot for the clan. Then he was exiled for attacking a she-cat...In the ensuing chaos, Shadowstorm took control. Her father became the leader. He consulted Starclan but they did not give him his lives. Shadowstar, however, continued as temporary leader to do the best for his clan.
One day, there was a battle. Lionstep worked to protect her father who had been sickly recently... Even if he had multiple lives, it was her duty and her pleasure to make sure he was alright. He fought besides his clanmates despite his sickness, but was gravely wounded. Lionstep stayed besides his weak, bleeding form. The medicine cat could not save him. Shadowstar told the medicine cat to leave, since nothing could be done...he had to speak to his daughter.
"Lionstep...I am so very proud of you. You were all I ever hoped for as kin and more...I do not have much time left. Starclan told me that I was not meant to be leader and receive nine lives. You are. Lionstar...you will make a great leader. I will be watching over you from Starclan." He looked at her with joy. He felt his ancestors calling to him, but he felt that the clan would fare well with his daughter as leader...He died in pain, but with his heart at ease.
Lionstep became leader at a very young age. She became leader in a time of chaos and battle. She knew that she was meant to be leader, Lionstar, but Starclan was silent...Starclan is too silent. She became leader in the time of a hiding Starclan. She went to receive her lives, but did not hear or see anything from Starclan. She had patience. She took her place as head of her clan, regardless of Starclan's feelings. She could survive without the lives and perhaps, one day, Starclan will speak again... Soon after, she stepped down, feeling guilty. Now she is Lionstep.
