GhostGhost padded along the Thunder-Shadow border. She did not care for borders and ignored them whenever they were encountered. She had been walking around for a bit, and was a bit in need of excitement of some sort. The filthy she-cat licked the dried blood on her claws and decided to take a seat. What lovely clans to be next to each other... These clans have apparently had unpleasant history. Ghost wondered if she could be lucky enough to have patrols from both clans come and visit her. How very fun that could be.
Her blue eyes scanned around. She could run away fast as lightning in case both clans saw her as a threat for some reason- which would be unlikely, with her condition and the fact that she was never caught murdering a cat. Ghost glanced and recoiled in fright as she saw him... "Go...please go away." Ghost hated having him around, he should be dead! Omni, who would never die... she could never be rid of him. She decided to ignore his taunts and focus attention around the border. She had to be wary- enemies could come from both sides. She loved this potential thrill. So many possibilities.

Sharpstar padded out of his den to notice all the leaves now growing in the trees. He felt a joy swell in him as he thought of green-leaf just around the corner. He had felt much warmer these last few days then during leaf-bare. His fur was not the usual Thunderclan thickness and it made him stand out. Especially when he was chattering teeth in the cold. He didn't bother to check on the patrols and what had been picked. He trusted that his deputy would not fail him. Instead he padded to the side and left the camp to enjoy the warmth.
He went deeper into Thunderclan territory. The sun shined brightly between the branches as if to reach out and touch him. He reached his favorite tree. The one he learned how to climb and be a very sneaky cat. The very one his father had died. He had never heard from or seen his father sense. The only time he had seen him was in nightmares. Which was a result of his first killing. However time passed and he soon realized with the help of a dying leader his father was actually proud of him. That in the end he wasn't a traitor to his clan at all. He could still hear the very words the last leader had spoken to him. "You are leader now. The past does not matter. You made the right decision in the end."
Sharpstar had been in many feuds with the other clans sense then. He always tried to make the decision. Though with clans constantly breaking the warrior code. It was hard not to start wars. Roughstar was one of the worst. However the tom ended up being exiled.. Sense then there was a fracture relationship with Shadowclan and Thunderclan. Though no major crossing or warrior code breakage.
Sharpstar padded past the tree and memories. He needed to focus on the now. He had his own kittens. Well really warriors. He had his own life to look forward to. He smelled the air relaxing his brown pelted body as he did so. It smelled fresh. As if it had been dew spreaded out. There was some fog built up. Which was a tad unusual for Thunderclan. However the leader thought nothing of the fog. It was morning after all. A very good morning.
He caught a scent of something else. It was mixed of things. Though mostly had the scent of dry blood. "Odd." he said out loud mostly to himself. He followed the scent and noticed it was one of a rogue. He padded deeper to see something through the fog. A white blur.
He drew closer and the blur had taken shape. The fog started to fade around it. He noticed it was a really skinny she-cat. Instantly his short fur bristled. His tail seemed to double its pathetic size. He quickly looked around her to see Thunderclan trees at least three that he could easily climb and attack or defend. If he was in Windclan territory he wouldn't have stood a chance. He would've needed some sort of back up. His training specified in tree climbing. For Thunderclan style was more about strength and heaviness. Which he was neither. "What is your reasoning for being here. Intruder."
he spoke in an experience leading voice.[/blockquote]

GhostGhost had sat down by the time Sharpstar appeared. She was impatient and the time seemed as if it went by very, very slowly. Sitting down and listening to the sounds of the forest, she breathed in the crisp air and ignored her brother. Her fur started to prickle and she sensed something approaching...the smell of another cat. She felt the approach from the Thunderclan side of the border. She turned her head to face him and did not bother to get up quite yet. She was so comfortable... She noticed his fur begin to bristle and his tail fluff up. She was calm, as usual. Even if she did managed to get caught and perhaps viciously attacked, she had taken a beating before. And if they managed to kill her, well then...she wouldn't be able to worry, due to being dead!
Hmm. Patrolling alone? She sometimes had to make sure cats were separated from the other cats they were patrolling with and kill them quickly and quietly. She listened for other signs. Shadowclan were the type that sneaked around, right? Hopefully Thunderclan cats and their strength and lumbering selves would make more of a sound. She sized him up quickly. Not the typical big and muscular Thunderclan warrior. Shorter fur.
She then got up and bristled her fur, moving awkwardly as if there was something wrong with her bones. "Please don't hurt me... I am only exploring." Backing up with her two back paws on the border and the two front paws on Thunderclan territory, she continued her weak and frail act. "I'm not here to steal prey, as you can see, I do not eat much." She referred to her obvious weak and scrawny frame. Not a typically talkative cat, but the authority in his voice made her a bit more wary...which led to slightly more acting and less quick-kill than usual. She did realize the acting was not as stellar as her typical self, but her brother's voice was in her mind and kept tapping and tapping and tapping at her thoughts.
Even though he was not particularly menacing, he did take a glance at the trees and environment around him. He could use that to his advantage. This attempt of hers would be different than the usual. It would take longer. Was it worth it? Other cats could come and she could be outnumbered and outclassed. She was far quicker than most cats and these cats weren't even those of the fastest clan, Windclan. Even so, she did not wish for humiliation...
Hmm hmm...time to strategize.

The fog seemed to have cleared enough that he could make up all her details. Her frail body her immediate weakness. He knew better to fall for that sort of thing. He was a prime example of what weak cats can do. Though this she-cat did look like she was starving and had very little mass. If he was muscular he bet he could knock her around. She looked around obviously noticing he had looked aorund also. He made a mental note that she may be skilled in the trees as well. She then spoke. Her voice seemed to have easily fallen apart it was almost a whisper. Her voice made her even look weak and frail then before. Sharpstar felt a sudden pang and wondered if he should help her. He had personally met a rogue that was a great she-cat. Though her Mother betrayed the clan. He had truly loved her. She opened a part of him that hadn't been open before. So in a way he had a soft side for rogues and loners. He saw them as equals though easily ones that can betray. "Yes, I'm sure. With your exploring. Though your frailness may be an exact reason your here."
he said as calmly and wisely as possible. His body slowly losing offensive. It took on a more calm stature that controls the woods around. His yellow eyes pierced at her daring her to break her possible act. She seemed to have taken a pause. As if thinking of her words before speaking them. The white she-cat reminded him of another. One that was black and not trustful at all. "If you are here just to explore then I implore you to go else where. This area is claimed and protected." he said casually making sure she knew he was leader of this area. He thought of a possible attack she could make as a climber. He would aim at the branch to her right and quickly climb and attack form above. Though since he was also a climber he would climb and make that impossible for her. Then the battle would just be focused on just skills of the trees. Now if she had some sort of Windclan training she would use her speed. Which her small body should move at ease with the ghostly fog around. Though the dry blood smell that had led him here seemed to begone now. He was positive it came from her. She must be a wiser killer then she looked. For it differently wasn't strength she was going to use. So it had to be Windclan or climbing. Now back to the Windclan ordeal. If it was speed he would have to match hers. He may have to use quick thinking as well. Maybe use a tree move to dodge her speed attacks. He could easily do a flip and land on her back or dodge her sudden attack. Though it may be wiser not to spill any blood at all. Maybe this she-cat was just that.. A wanderer who wandered the wrong area. If that was the case then she could easily turn and walk off without a battle. If she put in an argument maybe he could invite her to the clan. He could show her the Thunderclan strength in numbers. Maybe even have her just leave with a mental note. Maybe though very rarely she could join the clan and be loyal. If she was anything like his past lover's Mother she would come back with an army. One of which he would be prepared against.[/blockquote]

GhostShe chuckled a bit at his words. "I am quite aware that this area is claimed and protected. I am familiar with the clancats..." Very, very familiar. Familiar even with their insides. This cat, with his authority, did not seem to be a random warrior or apprentice who could just disappear. She almost felt a silent threat, though he was more relaxed than before- no longer bristling as much. How perfect. She took an awkward step towards him, still moving with an odd limp. She then noticed the fog around her and was grateful for its cover. She was too slow to observe, the environment was of vital importance in a battle. Utilizing it to your own advantage.
Unfortunately, it was clearing. Time to make a serious move. After walking forward a bit, she dashed to his left with her speed. Let's see how this would go. Somehow, no other cats had come yet. She thought wandering on this border would attract the fearsome cats of Thunderclan and Windclan, but it did not. Perhaps they were becoming more lenient on patrols, or this cat was good enough to defend the territory himself. Maybe he was some sort of super-warrior.
After dashing to his left, she leaped towards him, aiming for his back. She would try and end this as quickly as possible. If it turned to a tree battle, he might be skillful there. Thunderclan is full of trees. Plus, to escape the territory, she might have to leap from tree to tree or something...she could be surrounded. Let's see how fast you are, tomcat. You don't look strong, but you probably have tricks up your sleeve. Hopefully some intelligence or this will be dull. She could hear her brother laughing as she did this... maybe he knew more than she did, somehow.
As she did this, her eyes watched him carefully. She had to move fast with most opponents for fear of being crushed with brute strength. Whatever he did, she would have to respond quickly. This was not a clan war and she did not follow the warrior code, she was interested in the kill.

As soon as that she-cat spoke those words Sharpstar knew something was up. He knew rogues. He knew rogues very well. Her eyes were the next to give away. Her eyes went from weak to secure. The sort of secure that meant you could take down any enemy. Before Sharpstar could react to the quick change she was charging at him with incredible speeds. The sort that would put Windclan to shame. He only had little time to react. Though he suspected it all along.. Deep down.. He knew. His very father was this sort of cat. As she quickly dashed to his left aiming for his back. He quickly made a dodge. He claws scratching the very tip of his back. Easily reaching his skin and breaking it just a tad. The tad that would let you know. This was to the death.
He quickly spun around to and quickly began to climb a near by tree to his right. As soon as he was up in the tree he jumped off the limb claws extend aiming for the she-cat's back. His mind flickering to plans and ideas on how to deal with.
It was obvious she was fast. Faster then any opponent he has ever met. Faster then all of Windclan combined. He felt deep down he might have met his matched. For this she-cat was young and skilled. The only advantage he had was the trees. He quickly planned a way to draw her to his favorite tree that happened to be near by. The very one he killed his own mentor on. The very one his father admitted being a traitor to him. Who had attacked him after all those times. Not that Sharpstar ever trusted his father. The tom did scar his sister.
His mind also flickered comparing this she-cat with the she-cat that killed her own daughter. The same she-cat who had betrayed Thunderclan. Who had killed the one she-cat that had truly made Sharpstar live. The one who freed Sharpstar from his former deeds.

GhostShe managed to scratch him, it seemed, but barely. His reaction was swift. She watched him climb up the tree and leap down with extended claws. I was right...these trees are definitely going to work to his advantage. Hmm. I wonder if I back up enough, away, if he will try to run away? Then I could chase him down easily and bite his neck. As she thought this, she barely moved in time. She felt claws graze her and rolled to the side quickly. She got up to her paws and examined her surroundings. Too many trees... if only she could burn them. Would killing cats by causing a forest fire be as fulfilling? Her own claws and her own power just felt so good...
She dashed in a circle around him and attacked him from the side of the trees, aiming to drive him away from them. If she managed to drive him back far enough, she could get him to the Shadowclan territory. There, she wouldn't be the only one wanting him dead, she guessed. Perhaps they could distract him and she could leap in for the quick kill and escape. This was a full on attack, aiming with her claws to slice him from the front. Let's see what he'll do now, hmm? Not an intelligent move for her to make, but direct. She was rarely direct, but if it worked, she might employ direct tactics more in the future.

//Hey I was thinking. Why not have Ghost actually succeed in killing Sharpstar? Forcing him to lose a life. It'll be funny for them to run into each other again. Though I'm wondering.. Should Shadowclan butt in and possibly inviting ghost to stay? Or even better yet. What if they end up venturing further into the territory and finding a part of the forest strongly effected by the acid rain? With torn up trees.. The distraction could allow Ghost to take one of Sharpstar's lives.//
The she-cat immediately dodged. Sharpstar could not believe the speed of the she-cat. He wondered what it would be like for her to fight against Windclan. Who would win? Sharpstar quickly charged at her fully aware that he could not win this on speed. He might have to find a way to unlock his true Thunderclan blood. If he truly had any. He extended his claws tho their fullest. Not wanting to lose this battle.
The she-cat suddenly started running in a circle. He couldn't keep up with the white blur. The fog seemed to be just strong enough to make it a tad hard to concentrate on the moving shape. Though every split second it seemed tit was better to focus. He quickly pulled back his ears. He closed his eyes to focus on the footsteps. Though a bird song threw his thoughts off. Frustrated he gave a yowl and opened his eyes to see the stupid stalking cardinal up in a tree teasing him. He never understood why that cardinal came at the worst moments.
He turned his focus back on the thing seemingly to blend. His concentration totally thrown off forced him to take a step backward every three seconds. As something seemingly taunted him. He felt himself being pushed back from Thunderclan toward Shadowclan border. He knew this could not go on for long. He quickly gathered his thoughts and completely focused. Then he saw her. Running as quick as possible. Though she changed ideas and was coming straight for him with her claws extended. Ready to taste his flesh. He gave a hiss and quickly ran toward her showing no fear of the claws. At the last split second he jumped over her and aimed to claw her back before landing a flip behind her. As soon as he landed her turned ready. He lashed out his tail eyes burning with a new determination. It seemingly he dared her to come close. His back was to a bush. One he knew quite well form his younger moons.

OoC: Haha, that would be rather amusing... I think the acid rain would work out best, if you seriously don't mind Sharpstar losing a life. GhostShe widened her eyes a fraction as he ran towards her instead of trying a less direct method. She shuddered with pain as his claws ripped through the skin in her back, the skin barely protected by her short fur. He wasn't as fast, but she couldn't avoid that direct attack that she pretty much asked for with her own move. Of course, that was obvious... Why didn't you see that coming? She had to pay him back for this. She didn't need her speed, her main trait, to be injured by these wounds on her back. Damn him for managing to strike her...
Was he trying to get her to come close, another forwards dash? She knew better than to do that again, so soon. She swiftly ran to his left, a feint of sorts, leaped over and turned to him. She lashed out at his side with her fury, the white blurring paws filled with desire for his tender flesh to be torn open. This had to end soon...they were deeper inside Thunderclan territory than before and these clancats were many.
This cat had managed to make her bleed and she was a bit off because of that. If more cats came, it might be hopeless...she would be caught. She wondered what he would do with her side attack. She had lashed out viciously, but he had proven himself to be capable of not dying in five seconds. I need to shred his neck with my teeth and claws...

The rogue very swiftly went to his leftside. He was used to her quickness now and saw it coming. The she-cat then made a sudden leap forcing him to duck and turn barely missing the top claws. Those as soon as she was on her paws she was attacking and faster this time. The fury of the quick paw movements and the white claws blurring to each other made Sharpstar constantly dodge and move backwards. Her claws were just moving to fast toward him. The she-cat seemed to be in some sort of super rage and was seemingly twice as fast as before.
Slowly dodge by dodge Sharpstar noticed they were getting further from Thunderclan camp and the Shadowclan border. However they were going up and deeper into the forest. If he was harmed he possibly might not be found for a good while in this part. It was rarely used and hunted on. Mostly to do with the Shadowclan stank and the fact they had plenty of other territory.
Sharpstar only felt this through instinct. He didn't bother looking up in the trees. He was too busy trying to focus on the blurring paw movements and figure a offense or attack. Suddenly something felt different. The wind was stronger and more open. Stupidly this moment caused him to look away from the fight and toward the wind coming and landing on his back. THere was a sudden scratch and then another from the attacker. Though he did not feel these. He was too busy looking up in horror. As tree upon tree further into the territory just looked destroyed or dead. The sun was blurring through the thick pine and oak trees. The wind seemingly came strong now. The fog that was before was thicker here and it seemed to hardly have cleared out.
There another attack. Sharpstar felt hte sting now as each claw strucked him. The blood on his body sticky and warm was all over. He felt everything go black as he turned to his attacker. Who was seemingly a white blur now. Invisible a murderer. He tried to raise a claw but his heart wasn't into the fight anymore. His head was too busy dizzying over his find and the attacker. He felt lost within himself. The it came. The lose of blood made him faint and then die.
His body gave a last breath and was gone deeper into itself. His front paws gave a last final twitch. His eyes were left open from the death. Wide with shock and horror.

GhostGhost, while viciously attacking, had not noticed the forest around her. She was blinded by a fierce desire to destroy this cat and watch the light fade out of his eyes and the blood spill on the earth. She finally felt him break, his life fading and a beautiful final twitch. This was her meaning, her reason to go on. She looked into his eyes. The eyes were filled with great horror...She dimly recollected that, while lashing out, he had looked away for a moment and been distracted by something.
She glanced around and saw the plantlife, destroyed and dying... So many trees looked dead. What had happened? What was this? Unnatural...terrifying. She wondered if, whatever caused this, would be able to injure cats as well. Would the clan territories be destroyed? Would she have to find a new home? There was a fog surrounding this area...she had to get out.
She glanced at Sharpstar's form, lying there with his eyes wide open. She flicked a tail as a sort of goodbye. Goodbye, forever. It was a pleasure fighting you, you were a worthy opponent. One of the best fights she had fought in a long while...without the distraction, she probably wouldn't have been able to overpower him like that. Maybe this destruction was a good thing, for the good of roguekind.
She padded away, first slowly, and then dashed away with her lightning speed. Farewell. Maybe she would take a visit to a clan with less trees. Windclan, was that the name? A lot of open space and cats speedy like herself, she had discovered. Which was always entertaining, because they thought that they were the fastest cats around. She was gone, but in search of a place to recuperate first. He did get his claws into her and she had to rest a bit. To somewhere safer, away from Thunderclan...

As he faded away and headed toward Starclan he found himself stuck in that in between state he had once faced before. The one to where his lives were received and dismissed. He looked around feeling oddly peaceful after his horrid discovery. He caught a scent of a familiar she-cat. One he had longed for in all those moons with his other lovers. She blended well in the shadows. Though her yellow eyes eventually came to show themselves. He breathed in her scent and said her name "Night..."
She drew closer and welcomed her name with a smile. She then went under his chin. Her youth refreshing. He followed her his eyes shining of true love. He dug his nose in to her pelt wishing for more. They went like a good while till eventually she pulled away. She looked at him eyes shining or knowledge and stars. One of the few rogues accepted into Starclan. No she wasn't a rogue. She was a true Thunderclanner. One who had sacrificed her life for the clan. She looked at him knowingly of his death and future fate. "Sharpshriek.. You lost your third life. I'm sorry that this life is the one I gifted to you. The life of love." A tear fell as she saw Sharpshriek's horrid future. A future of the Golden age. She felt sorry for him and wanted to be there. Though she knew she would never be. Especially now that she was meant to fade away. With only a memory of their love. That was already replaced with another. A true clan member. Sharpstar toke a step forward his face showing every emotion he felt. Loneliness, sadness, worry, and much more. The fate of a leader. "Night..." he said almost like a kitten not wanting to be left without his Mommmy. Then pieces by piece she broke and faded away. Till all that was left was a tear. Then he to slowly vanished. There was a sudden gasp as his body came back together. He felt as if he lost a part of him. Though he was whole and alive. Her last words echoing in his ears. He didn't bother to pick himself up. He was too busy crying on the ground. Once again broken heart from her leave. He gave a yowl of remorse before picking himself up. His heart felt three times as heavy then early that morning. He looked around at the trees knowing of the news he would bring the clan would erupt feelings. He heard no birdsong coming from the torn up forest in front of him. All he saw was the fog that seemingly crept into Thuderclan territory. He still believed in Starclan. He was one of the few. He knew this news would make warrior even more despair. He knew he would have to bring this news to the gathering. The others should be fore warned. Slowly he picked himself up and with a heavy heart made it back to the camp. He counted his lives. He only had six left. He remembered each one as they were placed before him. Life, Truth, Love, Guilt, Honor, Wisdom, Justice, and Strength. He noted down that the two he had lost already was: Guilt, and Honor. Now he could add love to the list. He wondered what will cost him his next lives. What was it that made the she-cat he love cry before him?[/blockquote] //I guess that this thread is closed.//
