Appearance Description:
Faintheart’s personality is the complete opposite of her size. She’s a strong, muscular warrior although she does practically nothing. Her legs are strong from running, and instead of the rest of her being lithe, she has more of a ThunderClan body (because of her lineage). She has big paws and a thick tail, and the rest of her is perfectly proportioned. She’s not beautiful, but she isn’t ugly. Just a bit plain. However, her shyness and innocence seems to be the thing that draws other cats in.Personality Description:
Faintheart was born a pretty silver because her fur was thinner, but during the winter it would thicken and appear gray. It depends on the season, really. The seasons where she needs more fur it is gray, but when she needs less it is silver. She has that wiry type of fur that’s not exactly soft to the touch, but it shimmers just a bit when she walks. She has darker stripes on her head, back, and everywhere else.
Faintheart’s eyes are questionable. They are technically blue, but only in the shadows. When she leaves those shadows, her eyes seem to change. It’s weird, but they do. They go from a blue color to a green/almost gray color. The shade of her eyes is a bit odd, but other than that they are circle eyes. Round, always looking at you and asking, ‘Why? Why would you do that?’
Faintheart’s claws are long, but her teeth are a bit dull. She has sharp whiskers and a very raspy tongue. The pads of her feet are gray, as is her nose.
Fainheart is quite squeamish. She hates insects to the depths of hate; they terrify her. She’s alright when fighting, but blood makes her vomit. She cannot stand heights, and- this might sound odd- but yes, she is scared of rats. Sometimes a big mouse will give her a start, but she can handle prey otherwise. Big birds also set her off and make her worry. She also doesn’t like toms because she thinks they are all arrogant and ambitious.History:
Faintheart doesn’t believe in love. She thinks that the world is out to get her constantly. When cats try to get close to her, she pushes them away. She cannot bear the thought of someone loving her and her having the responsibility to love them back. If someone tries to be their friend, she makes it known that she does not do favors.
When it comes to speaking to other cats, Faintheart only talks to the cats she must. Like if she is in a patrol and must talk to a cat, she will, but briefly. Other than that she gets by with not speaking much. She hangs around out of camp a lot to clear her mind because being cooped up in a camp filled with cats makes her uncomfortable.
Faintheart may be shy and fearful, but she has the mind of someone twice her age. She can come up with plans or answers to situations quickly, yet the only way to drag them out of her is a promise of no praise and to leave her alone after hearing it.
Parents:
She was told that her father was gone, her father was a brave warrior, her father was loyal. She was told her father lived somewhere else, her father was a traitor. She was confused. Who was her father? It wasn’t until she was an apprentice, however, that she found out.
Faintpaw and Flutterpaw were both sisters- they knew only their mother and each other. They didn’t know their father, and it made them jealous to see other cats with their parents. They were told so many things by many, many cats about him, and they never knew what exactly to believe. So when Flutterpaw brought up the subject of finding him, Faintpaw told her no. It was impossible. Nobody knew who or where he was, though they all had their speculations.
Since her sister wouldn’t listen, Flutterpaw went straight to their mother. Surprisingly, she told Flutterpaw that if Faintpaw went with her, she could visit her father the next day. Flutterpaw immediately told Faintpaw, and although she was afraid, she was curious. That night their mother disappeared from camp, but was back the next morning. She led the two she-cats to the border with ThunderClan. It was there that they saw him- a tall warrior. He was named Longblaze, and was evidently ThunderClan. They all met, and Longblaze asked Graceflower if she would bring his two daughters back for another visit. She agreed.
So they began to visit him once a week. The time they almost got caught, Graceflower decided enough was enough. So on the next visit she told Longblaze. He flew into a rage and started ranting about how she had gotten to see them everyday of her life, and he was stuck in the shadows, having to watch them grow up from behind the scenes. Longblaze attacked her and stood over the ground while she cowered.
He had growled into her face that she would continue bringing them or pay the price. Graceflower agreed quickly, but when it was time to visit him again, she refused. She said that Longblaze was too dangerous. Flutterpaw and Faintpaw stayed in their den that night, but Flutterpaw refused to sleep. She woke up Faintpaw finally and whispered that they should sneak out to see him again. After his last outbreak, Faintpaw wanted nothing more to do with her father, so she disagreed.
Angrily (obviously getting it from her father), Flutterpaw told her sister that she would go herself. Then she left. It had been a while, and Faintpaw began to worry. What would happen if Flutterpaw made him mad and he hurt her? Beginning to panic, Faintpaw raced from her den to wake her mother and tell her the situation. The two she-cats fled to the border to find Longblaze yelling at Flutterpaw. She was pressed up against a tree on ThunderClan’s side of the territory in fright.
Yowling, Graceflower flew toward him, claws unsheathed. While the two fought, Faintpaw tried to flee, but Flutterpaw noticed and hissed for her to stop. When she turned around, surprised, Flutterpaw continued, “I’m leaving. I don’t feel safe with WindClan anymore; not with Longblaze around. I’m leaving.” Faintpaw stared at her in horror- there was no way her sister would just leave like that! While the two sisters stared at each other, Graceflower broke away from Longblaze.
She urged the two sisters to run, but they ran in opposite ways. Wondering where Flutterpaw was going, Graceflower chased after her. While she was running, Faintpaw heard something on her heels. She turned around to see her father glaring at her with dark green eyes. Fearfully, she lashed out with her claws, accidentally nicking him in the scruff. Longblaze stared at the blood welling up on the cut, then stared back at her. He was surprised that his own daughter would do this.
Taking advantage of the situation, Faintpaw jumped at him, leaping on top of his back from in front of him. She bit into his scruff and pulled hard, causing him to lean over onto his side just enough for the apprentice to push him over. At that moment, instinct took in. Faintpaw bit into his throat and didn’t let go until she felt her father go limp. She looked into his eyes as they glazed over… Forever.
She became a warrior a few moons after that. She told the rest of the Clan that she had woken up to find Flutterpaw gone. She had checked the warriors den and her mother was gone, too. WindClan accepted this story, and here she is now, terrified of someone finding out she murdered her father. The thought is always on her mind.
