Dawnchaser sighed to herself as she padded towards the great Oak. She had never wanted an apprentice, much less this one. Why did her father always thnk that more responsibility would change her? Was he preparing her for something? The russet van she-cat doubted it. She , for one thing, wanted nothing to do with Sharpstar, and could care less if he felt the same way. He always acted like he was superior because he got his nine lives from 'StarClan'. StarClan was fake. She knew it. The dark Forest would've given him his lives, and she knew that existed. Her meeting with Silentclaw rang clear in her mind as she padded closer.
Dawnchaser reached a small clearing and sat down, waiting for Breezpaw. He was a handsome tom, but not her type. He was just like ehr father, and looked like him too, which made her despise him even more. How was having her mentor Sharpstar's clone going to make hr warm up to him? It wasn't. Seh growled to herself. This wasn't going to be the stereotypical training outing; Dawnchaser knew that already.

BREEZEPAW I was apparently more special. Why? A sharp prod went into his side, and he hissed in protest. He opened one bright green eye to see one of his den mates, looking down on him. "What do you want?" He muttered, already closing the eye that he opened. Breezepaw had a horrible time sleeping, having nightmares of foxes and badgers attacking him. "Breezepaw! It's your first day of training. You don't want to be late!" The young tom sighed, and opened both of his eyes. Although he wasn't sure, he could detect his den mate mutter under their breath, "Especially for Dawnchaser."
Breezepaw groaned as he thought of his new mentor, Dawnchaser. He knew that she already despised him, and he hadn't even started training! His stomach churned as he thought of his new mentor. Although she was a very pretty she-cat, she was absolutely spoiled. He knew that it wasn't because that her father was the leader, it was just simply the fact that she had a way of bossing others around, and he did not like it one bit. But Breezepaw knew that she would train him hard, and fast, lucky for him. The less time he spent underneath her order-list, the better. Breezepaw didn't plan on having Dawnchaser boss him around all the time, although she is his mentor. He knows the difference between what was right and what is wrong. With a heavy sigh, Breezepaw stood up, and gave his short fur a quick cleaning, then left the warmth of the den.
The young tom found his mentor in the small cleaning around the Great Oak. He was surprised that she was up so early. Breezepaw made a mental note that she looked more pretty than usual, but she definitely wasn't his type. Too... demanding. {Words: 340} {Tag: Dawnchaser & Breezepaw} {Notes: First IC post((:} {Other: Modifyed, because we are at the Great Oak. Not Camp:P}

Dawnchaser snorted at her apprentice. Just by the way he was looking at her, she could tell he thought she was pretty. Toms, she thought, so obsessed with the she-cats. She padded towards the tree, looking over her shoulder at the apprentice. Today we will be working on--Oof! The pretty she-cat hadn't noticed the root sticking out of the ground and had fallen rather ungracefully. She growled to herself, making a mental note to make up for that embarrassing mishap. Well, I meant to say we will be hunting today.
Dawnchaser then commenced the hunting crouch, spotting a mouse a few tail lengths away. She crawled closer, carefully avoiding sticks and leaves that had fallen on the ground. Once she was close enough, she pounced, using her claws to propel her closer. She dug her outstretched paws into the small rodent and bit into its spine. Then she plopped on the ground. With a harrumph, she tilted her nose towards the sky. Now, show me what you can do.

BREEZEPAW I was apparently more special. Why? Breezepaw made a soft purr, undetectable by his mentor. So it turns out Ms. Perfect isn't as perfect as everyone thinks. He knew better than to see if she needed help though, so he just plainly dipped his head, a respectful response to Dawnchaser's mishap. But then his ears prickled as he learned that he was going to learn to hunt today.
The tom watched Dawnchaser with his bright green eyes. Breezepaw made note of the crouch and the angles that she was in, not to mention the wind. After she made the catch, he purred, and called out, "Good catch!"
The tom scented the air, praying that there was some sort of prey nearby. There! A fine, plump squirrel was sitting near the base of a pine. Breezepaw crouched, his body perfectly mirroring Dawnchaser's. One paw at a time, he inched his way over to the prey, until he was two tail-lengths away. Bracing his muscles, Breezepaw darted out, claws outstretched. With no reaction time, the squirrel tried to dart of the tree, but Breezepaw was too fast. The young tom grabbed it's furry tail by his claws and pinned it to the ground. Then, he made a nice, clean bite on the prey's throat. Breezepaw silently thanked StarClan, then looked at Dawnchaser, his eyes bright with excitement. {Words: 219} {Tag: Dawnchaser & Breezepaw} {Notes: Don't be afraid to criticize him, he will be fine.} {Other: I modified the previous post, just so you know:P}

Dawnchaser had to admit; this kit was pretty good at hunting. Not like she would say it to anyone but the other mentors in the clan. That was okay. Practice it again, but using this stick as your prey. Dawnchaser gestured with her ginger and white tail to the root that she had tripped on moments earlier. Dawnchaser would have Breezepaw catch more prey, but green-leaf wasn't a good time to waste prey that could live to be eaten during leaf-bare. It was more than mouse-brained to catch more prey than you can eat. This time, watch out for obstacles on the ground, such as sticks, leaves, roots, or anything that will make noise if you step on it. THat squirrel almost got a head-start on you because you stepped on a stick moments before ou leaped. Dawnchaser sncikered to herself. This was actually kind of fun. She got to critiscize someone and couldn't be told off for it. She was beginning to like mentoring the young tom.
