Fishing Trip {Whitepaw}

She was a fiesty one alright, and that's why he made himself her mentor. She tried to hard to be something she wasn't, and it worried Fallenstar. She was too focused on getting ahead that she couldn't slow down to make a lot o friends and socialize. Fallenstar made that mistake, but his fault was that he continued looking back. He wasn't about to let anyone else go through that again.

Whitepaw

A young silver, gray and black bengal she cat with baby blue eyes raced through RiverClan to meet up with her mentor. It had been a surprise on the day she was made an apprentice. It was none other then Fallenstar, the leader of RiverClan. Whitepaw smiled at this and continueds to run until she jumped through a bush. She almost ran right in to Fallenstar and ended up do a nose dive in the dirt. Whitepaw got up and rubbed her nose and that just smeared the dirt all over the place. She looked up at Fallenstar "Sorry I'm late Fallenstar. What are going to do today" she asked excited to get back to training. Even though she was quite or just didn't really talk to anyone. Whitepaw was always ready to learn more and even though she has gotten in to fights with other apprentice who just made her angry. She was a good apprentice, at times or some of the time. OK She was a big mouth when angry and a tom boy at heart. But she was a hard worker and was doing so to be come a warrior like she promised her father before he dead.

He sighed. Today we will work on hunting. However, we will not be hunting birds. WE will be hunting fish. He gestured for her to follow and padded closer to the stream. Watch closely. Fallenstar let his body slide close to the river, but hung back so his shadow wouldn't hang over the water. He spotted a small trout swimming towards him and prepared himself. He tensed his muscles then lunged. His gray paw flashed in and out of the water, flipping the trout onto dry land. With a quick bite at the spine, it was dead. There. Now you give it a try. Then I'll give you pointers. He smield, then spoke again. Try to do exactly as I did.

Whitepaw

Whitepaw followed Fallenstar and sat beside him while he showed her what to do while fishing. Once he stepped aside to give her a chance to try. She placed her body in almost the same way Fallenstar had his and had her white paw ready to get a fish once one came around. Whitepaw waited for a little bit before a big one decided to show up and swiftly dipped her paw in the water. At frist whitepaw thought she missed it and looked sad. But when she tried to pull her paw back it was heavy. Whitepaw dag her hind paws in the dirt and dragged a fish to dry land. Whitepaw quickly bit it where Fallenstar had his and killed it. Whitepaw licked her lips and sat down while smiling at Fallenstar in silent pride. She was very please with what she was able to do and couldn't wait for more training.

Not many apprentices could haul in a big fish on their first try. However, it wasn't perfect. The reason you had such a hard time was because your feet weren't rooted into the ground from the beginning. Other than that, it was excellent. Try again and see if you can do it perfectly. Fallenstar smiled; he was lucky to have such a talented and hardworking apprentice. She would become a warrior soon enough.

Whitepaw

The young apprentice ears went flat once Fallenstar start to tell her. What she did wrong and also that she did a good job even with the mistake. Whitepaw smiled when Fallenstar smiled at her and a small blush came across her muzzle at the half prais. Whitepaw got right back to work once he said to try again. This time she made sure to root her paws down and watched the water with a paw ready. Shape blue eyes watched patiently. When a fish finally decided to show itself and she saw it. As swift as before Whitepaw dipped her paw in the water. She brought the fish flying out this time and leapped up bitting down on it's spine killing. Whitepaw landed on her paws with balance and with the fish still in her jaws looked at Fallenstar with a smile. Whitepaw was very proud of herself and hoped that her father could just see her now. She hoped to that she would be a great warrior for RiverClan.

Hunting certinly wasn't anything hard for Whitepaw. However, he wondered hwo she felt about alctually swimming. Fallenstar would have her practice diving and catching fish underwater, but they had caught enough prey already. It was fish-brained to catch more food than you could eat. Let's take a swim and get some excersize. If you aren't too tuckered out, we can practice water combat. Without waiting for a response, he dove into the calm current and began paddling with his long legs as he smiled at his apprentice. Dive in! He snickered to himself.

Whitepaw

The young apprentice pawed at the water like a kit would when finding something new. She licked the water off her paw and sat for a moment even have Fallenstar had ask he to dive in. Whitepaw was unsure and kept pawing at it a little to test how fast it was moving. The carrunt didn't seem to be moving very fast and it looked to be so much fun. Fallenstar even said something about water combat. Whitepaw thought about it and than just trusted Fallenstar. She leaped in with a splash. Whitepaw went slightly under for a moment. But she was able to keep herself above and watched as Fallenstar paddle around. Whitepaw tried moving her paws the same way and she was slowly learning to swim. Whitepaw became more confident the longer she was in the water. She even dived under a few times and swam around seeing fish under there was the coolest thing ever. BUt when she needed air, Whitepaw splashed above the water to smile at Fallenstar "Can we learn water combat, Please" she said with sparkling baby blue eyes.

The stream was certainly brimming with life, from small eels to large carp that could feed at least 5 cats. Prey was certainly running well for RiverClan, and he didn't plan on wasting it. Fallenstar chuckled inwardly. He didn't need to be StarClan to know that Whitepaw would ask to train for water combat. He sighed and rolled his eyes. If you feel so confident about your swimming, we can try a few moves. The gray tom swam closer to her, his fur slicked down to his sides. First lets try the Tail Splash. Use your tail to splash water into my eyes so it gives you a few moments to get ahead. It stuns my ability to see for a few seconds. He turned around and swished his tail, flicking a small wave of water into her face. Like that.

Whitepaw

While drifting in the water the apprentice took a white paw up and quickly whiped the water out of her eyes. Whitepaw opened one eye and while getting water out of her other watched Fallenstar with a small smile. He seem to always want her to open up and make more friends than just having her sibs. Whitepaw tried the move back went under when she splashed with her tail at Fallenstar. Whitepaw growled when she came back up and was beside the sure line. She hated it when she messed up. Whitepaw sighed, she would try again maybe next time when they were rested. They had been learning to hunt fish and then she had to learn how to swim quickly or else go under to never return to camp. Whitepaw looked at Fallenstar "Maybe we can take break and just swim around for a little bit" she said shyly to her leader.[/color]

One moment she was so sure of herself and the next she needed a break. He shrugged. Why not? It's not like we have anything else to do. Prey is running well, we have no border issues, and there is nothing terrorizing the camp. We can saty for a bit, then we have to take the prey back to camp. Fallenstar smiled, diving under a second later. He swam around for a minute before surfacing again. Having a little trouble keeping you head up?

Whitepaw

She looked at Fallenstar while sitting on the sure side of the river. Whitepaw looked at him with crystal blue eyes that told of her anger for a moment and then it fadded to sadness "I try so hard some times and yet I don't get it right. I want to make my father proud....I don't want his death to be for nothing!!" Said the silver apprentice. Her eyes showed sadness, Whitepaw felt like she had felled her father. He had dead when she had just start to be an aprentice. Now only a moon or so after his death. It still felt frash and hurt some times to talk about it or to not even be able to do a simple training move. "Never mind, I just need to try harder and work harder to be the best" she said to herself mostly. Whitepaw leapped back in to the water and just swim around for a bit. She dived under and swam underwater for a few minutes until she needed air. Once she broke through and took a deep breath Whitepaw looked at Fallenstar. She saw he was swimming around and decided to try something "Hi Fallenstar" she said his name and tried the move again hoping it would work. This time she was able to keep above the water line to make the wave to his face.[/color]

He certainly wasn't expecting the wave of water to come flying into his green eyes. He yowled in surprise as he frustratingly tried to clear he water out of his eyes. Once he regained his confidence, he smiled in excitement. That was wonderful, Whitepaw! I didn't see tht coming at all. I'm so proud of you! He paddled over to her and nudged her with his head. We should probably head back now. You did great today. Take a fish back to camp and gve it to the elders. Then you may have some yourself. Fallenstar leaped out of the water and shook his fur violently, trying to remove the excess water. Once he was content with the dryness of his fur, he picked up two fish and nodded at Whitepaw to do the same with the remaining one. Then he smiled and began walking slowly back to camp. He was glad that he had chosen Whitepaw to be his own apprentice. // We should wrap this up. It's your choice whether you want to make another post or not. //
