Otterkit is a small cat, he was the runt of his mothers litter. His legs are slightly stocky, and his chest is wide, making him look almost like a barrel. All of his fur is a deep chocolate brown, even his whiskers. His eyes are large, almond shaped and a dark amber, almost as brown as his fur. He still has some of his downy kitten fur. But he is loosing it quickly, being replaced by sleek adult fur. Otterkit has a slight undercoat, keeping him warm, and water seems to just slide off his fur. One good shake, and he is almost dry.
Otterkit has a broad muzzle, almost square, with a round face. His paws are wide and flat, and his tail is thick, making him a strong swimmer. He was the first of his litter to begin swimming. Otterkit's face is round, as well as his ears, giving him a bubbly look. Otterkit is stronger then he looks. His thick fur hides muscular body.

Otterkit is soft spoken and shy. He keeps to himself and doesn't share tongues with his clan mates much. He has never even thought about being a warrior. He had always wanted to be a medicine cat. He had a knack of healing. He could smell the infection in his sister's paw before she had even realized she had stepped on a thorn that was in the bedding in the nursery. Otterkit never knew if his desire to be a med cat, was to finally gain respect from his siblings, or because he really was meant to be a healer. He is slightly ambitious, hoping to one day be a very influential cat, within all the clans.
Because of his small size and stocky legs. Otterkit isn't as agile as most cats. On land anyway. He is probably one of the strongest swimmers RiverClan has ever seen. He takes pride in his ability to swim. He was the first of his litter to actually get into the water. He feels best in the water. not as clumsy and useless as he does on land. If he isn't fetching herbs for his clan, or tending to his apprentice duties. You will most likely find him swimming in deeper water of the lake.
Though Otterkit is soft spoken, if he feels like he has to say something important, or if he has an opinion. Everyone is going to hear it. There is no holding him back.
He is also very determined to serve his clan the best he can. He takes great pride in being a RiverClan cat.

Otterkit was born a full blooded RiverClan cat. His mother, Sagemask, gave birth to four healthy kittens. Crowkit, Spiderkit, Dapplekit, and Otterkit. Out of those four, Otterkit was the runt, and considerably smaller then his siblings. His brother Crowkit would poke fun of Otterkit's size. Being the biggest out of the litter, Crowkit felt as if he was the strongest out of all of them.
When the kits were almost ready to leave the nursery, their father, Cedarfoot, took them to the stream that weaved through the territory. He tried to teach them to swim in the shallow water. Otterkit was the first to step into the cool water.
After being so clumsy on land because of his short legs. Otterkit felt graceful in the water. His wide paws made it easy to keep his nose above the water, and his broad tail made it simple to maneuver. His siblings only joined him in attempting to swim when their father said, it looked as if Otterkit was the only true RiverClan cat in their liter. Insulted, Crowkit dove in, determined to impress his father. After several almost drowning moments, Crowkit finally got the hang of swimming. He was furious Otterkit seemed to pick it up so naturally. Dapplekit and Spiderkit joined soon after their father waded into the water with them.
Otterkit hand never felt more at home.
